Touchpoints at Chestnut staff took a moment to celebrate the long tenure of two valued members of the team in a longevity ceremony. Touchpoints honored two Certified Nurse’s Aides (CNAs), Rachel Landry with 27 years of service at Touchpoints at Chestnut and and Miguel Cruz with 25 years. The Touchpoints at Chestnut team welcomed the arrival of the Fall season with a staple of Autumn, delicious pies. Snickers the Pony came to visit residents from Touchpoints at Chestnut on July 4th. Snickers hails from Shag Bark Hickory Farm right in East Windsor and made the residents’ day with his presence. Mr. Snickers, as the farm calls him, makes frequent wardrobe changes and is happy to participate in activities.

Touchpoints at Chestnut organized and celebrated a “Caribbean Week” full of events, food and parties. One event saw staff members sharing their personal stories of life on their island and how they came to be here in Connecticut. The residents enjoyed hearing their personal stories, asked plenty of questions and sang and danced to traditional songs.
