It is a rare occasion where a skilled nursing facility resident comes back to the facility to join the team. But that’s exactly what happened with Touchpoints at Farmington resident Alina N. After rehabilitating for a broken leg that required physical therapy, Alina returned as a Recreation Assistant.

Congresswoman Elizabeth Esty and Commissioner Betsy Ritter visit Touchpoints at Farmington
May 31, 2017Congresswoman Elizabeth Esty visited and toured iCare’s Touchpoints at Farmington location accompanied by Commissioner Betsy Ritter of the State Commission on Aging.
Touchpoints at Farmington received a patient referral from an uncommon source; Largo Medical Center in Florida. The patient was flown by medical jet to Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks and re-admitted with a smile on her face. Clearly her determination and effort in returning to Touchpoints at Farmington was a source of great pride for staff and administration at the facility.
